POWERPOINT
1. Open the powerpoint presentation (PPT) and configure the settings:
- Open the PPT on your computer.
- In the PowerPoint menu select “Slide Show” then click on “Set up Show”. ( 1 )
- Select “Browsed by an individual (window)”. (2 and 3)
- Open the slide show. (4)
- Right-click anywhere on the slide. (5)
- Select “Pointer Options”. (6)
- Select “Pen”. (7)
- Select “Pen Color” and chose the color of your pen. (8)
- You can now use this “pen” to markup or highlight any content during your
presentation.
2. Share the PPT presentation in the virtual room:
- Select “Share Screen” in the virtual classrom. (1)
- In the screen share options, select “Application Window”. (2)
- Select the PPT which you have opened. (3)
- Click on “Share”(4)
- The PPT is now presented to your to your students. You can control your slides and use
the “pen” to markup or highlight any content.
When you are finished, just close the PPT and the screen sharing will automatically stop. Alternatively, you can just just turn off the “Screen Share” button. This will leave the PPT open on your computer in case you want to use it again during the class.
KEYNOTE
1. Open the Keynote and configure the settings:
- Open the Keynote on your computer.
- In the menu select “View” then click on “Hide Toolbar”. You can also do this with the shortcut – press Comand+Option+T. ( 1 )
- In the menu select “View”, then “Inspector” and click on “Hide Inspector”. You can also do this with the shortcut – press Comand+Option+I. (2 and 3)
- In the menu select “View” and click on “Slide Only”. (4)
- Click on “Keynote” in the main menu and select “Preferences”. (5)
- Click on the “Slideshow” icon in the menu of the pop-up window. (6)
- In the “Interacting” Section, select “Show pointer when using the mouse or trackpad”.
- You can now use your mouse or trackpad to point to things in your presentation.
- Navigate back and forth through the slides by using the up/down arrows on your keyboard while pressing the “fn” key.
2. Share the Keynote presentation:
- Select “Share Screen” in the virtual classrom. (1)
- In the screen share options, select “Application Window”. (2)
- Select the Keynote which you have opened. (3)
- Click on “Share”(4)
- The Keynote is now presented to your to your students. You can control your slides by using the up/down arrows on your keyboard while pressing the “fn” key. Use your mouse or trackpad to point to things in your presentation.

- Select “Share Screen” in the virtual classrom. (1)
- In the screen share options, select “Application Window”. (2)
- Then select the PDF which you have opened. (3)
- Click on “Share”. (4)
- The PDF is presented to your students.
- You can use the PDF markup tools to highlight items on the PDF

Google Slides
1. Copy the link of a Google Docs, Sheets or Slides
2. Click the "Share links" button and paste the link into the box appearing in Workspaces
Your file will appear in Workspaces and all the participants can view it at their own pace while you are presenting your slides.
